Ensuring that the voice of Ontario’s pork producers continues to be heard was the focus of recent meetings undertaken by Ontario Pork at Queen’s Park, advancing important conversations on the priorities and challenges facing Ontario’s pork producers.

In meetings with elected officials, Board Chair Tara Terpstra stressed the importance of expanding processing capacity in Ontario and the need for timely government support of producers impacted by any market interruptions.

Ontario Pork thanked the government for their continued support of Ontario’s pork sector and reiterated that with timely investment, government can boost food security, create jobs, advance exports and continue to grow the economy at home.
