The Ontario Pork Board of Directors works closely with industry and the provincial government on changes in rules, policies, and markets. Their main focus? Keeping the industry competitive and sustainable for the long haul.

In 2024, the following board members were either elected or re-elected. Each one is an active pork producer representing their Zone.

Each year the newly elected Board of Directors forms the committees that will work under Board mandate for that year.

The current chair of the Ontario Pork Board of Directors is Tara Terpstra, pork producer from Huron County. Tara was elected in 2024.
Bruce Hudson is the current vice-chair.
Zone 1 consists of Elgin, Essex, Kent, Lambton, and Middlesex counties
Zone 2 consists of Perth and Huron counties
Zone 3 consists of Grey/Bruce, Waterloo, Wellington/Dufferin, and Simcoe/York counties
Zone 4 consists of Golden Horseshoe, Haldimand/Norfolk, Halton/Peel, Niagara, and Oxford counties
Zone 5 consists of Central Ontario, Frontenac, Glengarry-Prescott, Ottawa Valley, Nation Valley, and Timiskaming-Cochrane counties
